Florida Abolitionist (FA) is a non governmental 501(c)3 organization established to campaign against modern-day slavery. FA’s approach is a focused strategy to educate, equip, and empower the faith community. Early in 2009, Tomas J. Lares, the Founder and Executive Director of FA, met with a group of modern-day abolitionists who became FA’s steering committee. Together they came up with the vision, mission, and objectives of Florida Abolitionist.
